Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are designed to provide all students with a challenging, relevant, meaningful education that will prepare them for a successful career in one of the JumpStart Career Pathways. Louisiana Department of Education defines a career pathway as a coherent sequence of courses that prepares a student for a first job and/or a foundation for further education or training. Students enrolled in any of the CTE courses offered in Iberia Parish will take an Industry Accredited Proficiency Assessment which, if a passing grade is earned, will result in an Industry Based Credential (IBC).
CTE integrates academic and occupational learning, school-based and work-based learning, and establishes partnerships between high schools, post-secondary institutions, and industry. CTE courses are valuable to both TOPS Tech and TOP University students due to the career awareness and exploration experiences.
Architecture & Construction Pathway encompasses a vast array of careers all focused on the construction, design/pre-construction, and maintenance/operations of structures.

Arts, A/V Technology & Communication Pathway prepares students to organize and manage various visual aspects of data, visual arts, performing arts, and entertainments media industries.

Business Management Pathway focuses on careers that plan, organize, direct, and evaluate all or part of a business organization.
IBCs available: Business of Retail, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Louisiana Micro-Enterprise
Health Sciences Pathway prepares students to recognize, assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient and medical needs in pre-hospital, disaster, hospital, medical office, and/or home health care settings.
IBCs available: Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician and EKG Technician
Hospitality and Tourism Pathway prepares students for a variety of jobs within the food and lodging service industries.
IBCs available: ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Food Manager, Business of Retail and Louisiana Micro-Enterprise.
Human Services Pathway focuses on careers in early childhood development and services that nurture and teach children in the pre-kindergarten setting.

Information Technology Pathway prepares students for the design, development, installation, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems, software, hardware, networks, and cloud computing.

Manufacturing Pathway prepares students to work in the process and production fields.

Pre-Educator Pathway provides K-16/pre-education program for both TOPS University and TOPS Tech diploma seeking high school students who intend to pursue a career in the field of education.

Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Pathway focuses on the planning, managing, and moving of people, materials, and goods by road, pipeline, air, rail, and water.
